Emergency
Lighting.

In the UK, Fire Safety Legislation requires emergency lighting that is fully compliant to BS5266 in all non-domestic premises.

Emergency lighting provides a minimum level of illumination to enable the safe exit of buildings and safe shutdown in high risk task areas, if normal lighting supplies fail.

It is especially important in buildings licensed for the sale of alcohol, old buildings and premises with a large gathering of people.

Following a mains failure or circuit fault, Emergency Lighting luminaires will provide an instant light source to illuminate any escape routes and open areas for a defined period of time, therefore aiding a safe exit from the building.
